Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDDs) include Autism (299.00), Childhood Disintegrative Disorder (299.10), and Asperger's Disorder, Rett's Disorder, and PDD-- Not Otherwise Specified (NOS), all coded as (299.80). PDD-NOS also includes "Atypical Autism." Often, one or another of these diagnoses may be appropriate for a child with FAS or FAE.
