Time Out!

I was working on a degree in psychology when I adopted my
daughter. In a developmental psyche course, the professor showed a film on
time out, which showed the kid staying in time out and then coming out all
calm. I thought, the only way I would ever get my daughter with FAS to
stay in a time out chair would be if I tied her to it.
I don't think even kids without FAS would be so co-operative and wondered why they teach such crap. I felt like the film was an insult to parents and wondered how long this guy would last with my kid, having tantrums day in and day out. --Sharon |
